Eclipse information for Elem Parents:
1. Permission slips were sent home with students today and must be returned by Friday, August 18th.
2. Safety information was also sent home with your child-https://www.sciencemuseumok.org/sites/default/files/Safety_508.pdf
3. Mrs. Nelson will be visiting every class over the next couple of days to let students experience the glasses, ask questions and to talk about the importance of being safe and taking care of their eyes while viewing the eclipse.
4. The eclipse glasses that were purchased for every student and school employee were heavily researched and were named on NASA's list of Reputable Vendors. They are certified with the ISO 12312-2 standard.
5. For our PREK, Kinder & 1st grade students who will be viewing the eclipse-an elastic strap has been added to the glasses to help them stay on their smaller heads.
