Vici Music Boosters
The Vici Music Department started the school year with many changes and the reformation of the Vici Music Boosters is one of them. After a hiatus, the music boosters are regaining traction with the assignment of new booster officers: President – Tonya Randall, Vice President – Azu Cole, Secretary – Deanna Windham, Treasurer – Sky Evans and Editor – Jodi Campbell. The goal of the Music Boosters is to work alongside Music Director Ms. Stutzman and assistant Mrs. Kelly in support of the students and the needs of the department. The 7th-12th grade band has a busy upcoming schedule with multiple performances all over Oklahoma.
One of the first tasks of the boosters is to create a program that provides meals and/or snacks for the students while at events throughout the school year. The music boosters are hosting a “Stock the Pantry’ food drive. Dry good items and drinks will be collected to supplement the fresh food meals the boosters will be providing. Boosters are collecting donations such as individually packaged chips, cookies, crackers or other snacks that can be stored to use as needed. Drink options needed are bottled water, juices, Gatorade or sodas. Please no perishable food items. Donations may be delivered to Vici Schools Music Department or The Vici Vision during office hours: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9:00am – 3:00pm. Monetary donations can be made to the Vici Music Boosters, please note Booster Pantry on your donation.
The boosters are excited for the music department and look forward to many upcoming events including the Fall Concert, currently scheduled for October 25, this concert will be paired with the return of Mardi Gras, pending board approval. That’s right, it will be cake walk time, folks! Volunteers to help with activities and sandwich prep will be needed and it’s not too late to become a booster member. Parents, Alumni and music enthusiasts are encouraged to join the boosters – the next meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 10 at 8:00pm in the band room. Anyone interested in volunteering or becoming a member is welcome to attend or contact Tonya Randall at 580-748-3214 for more information about volunteering.
