OSSAA DEAD PERIOD IS JUNE 30-JULY 7.
The summertime OSSAA dead week period is June 30 - July 7, 2024. During this time, student-athletes cannot participate in school athletic activities.
Sports/Band Physicals have been scheduled for Monday, June 24th at Seiling at 8 am. The girls’ bus will leave Vici at 7:30 am, and the boys’ bus will leave at 8:15 am.
Participants who plan to play any sport or play in the band are required to have an annual physical.
🔴 Students will need 4 forms on the day of physicals, and all need to be signed by a parent.

PARENT OPTIONS FOR OBTAINING FORMS:
1. Forms can be printed from the school website at this link (or go to DISTRICT INFORMATION and click on DOCUMENTS) https://www.vicischools.k12.ok.us/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=1544322&type=d&pREC_ID=1671594
2. Forms can be picked up at the table in front of Mr. Nelson’s office beginning at noon on Wednesday, June 19th.
3. Forms will be made available in the school weight room so any student who attends Summer Pride can pick them up on Thursday, June 20th
4. Forms will also be available on June 24th at the bus, but they MUST be signed by a parent before your child leaves for physicals.
🔴Riding the bus is not required, and you may meet the buses at the Seiling Health Clinic at 8 am for girls and 8:45 for boys.
🔴 If you are unable to get a physical on the 24th, it will be the parents’ responsibility to schedule and obtain a physical for your child.
🔴 All incoming 7-12 athletes and band members MUST have a current physical on file with Mr. Robertson BEFORE they are able to practice or play.

HELP US WELCOME MRS. JANNA KELLY TO VICI PUBLIC SCHOOLS! Vici Public Schools is excited to share that Mrs. Kelly will be joining our team to teach music classes, assist with 7-12 band, and will be the piano accompanist for 7-12 choir for the 24-25 school year. Mrs Kelly shared this brief introduction with us: "Hello! My name is Janna Kelly and I am excited to be joining the Vici Public School family. I bring fifteen years of music education experience at all grade levels. I received my Bachelor's of Music from OBU and am also early childhood certified. I will be teaching a fine arts elective, early childhood music, accompanying choir and assisting with band. My husband and I have three adult children and will be empty nesters this fall. The Rocky Mountain Puppets show was so much fun! Meghan and her sidekick, Aiden the Dino, took boys and girls on an adventure in search of fossils! Next up! Week 3 of the Summer Reading Program made possible by WPLS will be Mad Science! The program will begin at 4 pm in Jerald Shaw auditorium on Monday, June 17th! Vici Public Schools is excited to share that Miss Fenton will be teaching 3rd grade for the 24-25 school year, and she has shared a brief introduction with us:
“Hello! My name is Kathryn Fenton. I am so excited to be the new third grade teacher at Vici Public Schools! I graduated from Oklahoma State University with my B.S. in Human Development and Family Sciences with a focus in Early Childhood Education. After graduating, I completed my first year teaching at Glencoe Elementary School as their kindergarten teacher. After deciding I wanted to be closer to family, this position became available and I knew I had to apply! I grew up spending summers with my grandparents here in Vici and often attending basketball and softball games for my cousins. You will often find me walking or playing with my dog Sadie after school hours! If you see us around don't hesitate to say hi! I can’t wait for the school year to begin and become a part of the Vici Community!”

“Hello! My name is Erika Stutzman and I am going to be the new band, choir, and elementary music teacher here in Vici! I am so excited to be joining your community and I look forward to the start of the new school year! I was born and raised on a farm in Weatherford, OK. I graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with bachelors degrees in both music education and elementary education. I have a passion for music and working with children! I am looking forward to meeting everyone!”

Spring Break is March 21st and 22nd! There will be no school on these days!
State Assessments for ALL JUNIORS (and Seniors who have not yet taken them) have been scheduled.
These tests are REQUIRED FOR GRADUATION.
History ➡️ April 2nd
Science ➡️ April 3rd
ACT ➡️ April 9th
Tests begin at 8:15 AM and juniors will NOT attend the career tech on these days.
